Schweitzer Mauduit
Signum Group LLC (Signum), a leading enterprise asset management consulting and systems integration company, announced today that it has completed an implementation of Oracle eAM for Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc. (SWM). The project was scheduled to go-live in February of 2008 but, due to Signum’s commitment to accelerating customer time to benefit, the project reached completion in November 2007.

Schweitzer-Mauduit, a diversified producer of premium specialty papers, engaged Signum in May 2007 to upgrade their information systems with an Oracle E-Business solution that includes asset and inventory management, purchasing, and internet-based procurement.

The Oracle E-Business system provides an improved efficiency in collection, transfer and analyzing of data. Roger Scheurer, Lee Mill Manager for SWM, remarked, “The new system eliminates the issues we had in the past operating with different systems. Oracle eAM has helped us streamline our maintenance and materials management efforts, and we expect significant MRO savings from the program.”
